about contest on VHF,

1. Contest are spent by Efremovsky radio-club "Ether".
2. Contest are spent according to the present Rules.
3. The purposes of contest:
Popularisation of VHF of contest and increase of VHF of activity in the Russian Federation.
4. Time of carrying out of contest.
Contest are spent on the first full Saturday and Sunday of September and combined by date with IARU 1 reg. VHF Contest.
In 2009 - on September, 5th from 14.00 UT till 02.00 UT on September, 6th.
5. Participants of contest.
To participation in contest radio fans of all countries of the world are invited.
6. Conditions of carrying out of contest.
6.1. Contest are spent on a band of 144 MHz.
6.2. Modes:
СW, SSB, FM.
6.3. In offset the radio communications spent with radio fans of all countries and territories of the world with use of all kinds of passage on VHF (except for communications through active and passive repeaters, companions, the Moon) are accepted. It is recommended to abstain from carrying out of radio communications on priemo-transferring frequencies of operating repeaters.
6.4. With one correspondent one radio communication irrespective of a work kind is set off. Repeated QSOs are not set off.
6.5. The divergence in time of carrying out of radio communications no more is supposed than three minutes.
6.6. Time of carrying out of QSO considers the moment of its termination.
6.7. Time in reports is underlined UTC.
6.8. Specification of control numbers and time of carrying out of radio communications prior to the beginning and after the termination of contest is forbidden.
7. Groups.
A - 1, 2, 3 and 6 radio amateur areas of Russia;
B - 4, 9 and 0 radio amateur areas of Russia;
C - FM-stations of Russia;
D - foreign participants.
The group is considered test if in it have taken part not less than 10 sportsmen who have sent reports. Otherwise the group which has not typed 10 participants, under the judiciary board decision can be united with other group.
8. Control numbers.
8.1. Participants of contest exchange the control numbers consisting from RS (), RSA (at the Aurora), a radio communication serial number, since 001, and WW QTH a locator. An example of control number: RK3PWJ - 599001 KO93BD.
9. An addition of points.
9.1. Points for QSOs are charged depending on distance between correspondents - 1 point for 1 kilometre.
9.2. The definitive result - a sum of points for radio commuQSOs is multiplied by quantity of the big squares (LO48, KO85, LO88, etc.).
9.3. QSOs with the radio fans who have not sent the report, are set off under a condition if their call signs meet not less than in 3 sent reports. For these communications half of points is charged. The square is set off for multiplier.
9.4. At excess of 30 % of the communications excluded from the report from number declared and infringement of points 6.7, 6.8, 11.2-11.4 given Rules, the participant is move in group "CHECK LOG".
10. Rewarding.
10.1. The participants who have taken the first places in the groups, are awarded by cups.
10.2. The participants who have taken the first, second and third places in the groups, are awarded by medals.
11. LOGs.
11.1. Each declared participant or a command makes the Log for contest and sends it to a judiciary board.
11.2. For each radio communication following data should be specified:
- A call sign and a locator of the participant,
- Date of carrying out of communication,
- Time of carrying out of communication,
- A call sign of the correspondent,
- A locator of the correspondent,
- Accepted and transferred control numbers,
- The counting of points, multipliers and distances between correspondents - is not necessary.
11.3. Logs are accepted both paper, and electronic. The Log is in electronic form sent on e-mail (Log files should be attached to the letter, instead of are included in a letter body).
The Log in electronic form is accepted it (is desirable) in format EDI
11.4. In the Log the declared subgroup should be necessarily specified agrees item 7 of the given Rules. (The declared subgroup it is possible to specify in the Log, a body or a theme of the message of e-mail, for example: "RK3PWJ group A")
11.5. The Log is sent to a judiciary board not later than in 15 days after the termination of contest (for the Logs which have come by mail, date is defined on a postage stamp).
11.6. The Logs of the participants which have arrived to a judiciary board on an exchange by reports from judiciary boards of other contest - are translated in group "CHECK LOG".
11.7. The judiciary board will be grateful to all participants sent the Logs for the control - "CHECK LOG".
11.8. The judiciary board is obliged till October, 30th to spend refereeing of contest and to give to organizers of contest the Report for the statement.
